The Labrador Retriever Club of Albuquerque was founded in 1973 to promote knowledge and understanding of the Labrador retriever and its versatility. The LRCA is AKC-licensed and is a regional specialty club of the Labrador Retriever Club, Inc., the parent organization of the Labrador Retriever breed in the United States.
